In Honor or In Memory
We are honored to help celebrate your loved one through your gift. In honor/memory gifts receive special recognition in our printed concert programs. Listings appear in the year the donation is made. Donate online, over the phone, or by mail.
IRA Distribution
If you are 70.5 years old or older, you can make a tax-free charitable donation known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA to the Beaverton Symphony Orchestra (BSO).
Those who are 73 years or older, QCDs also count toward the year's Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). A RMD is tax-free as long as it is paid directly from the IRA to an eligible charitable organization, such as the BSO.
To make a QCD/RMD, contact your IRA trustee soon so the trustee has time to complete the transaction before the end of the year.
For more information regarding Qualifying Charitable Distributions/Required Minimum Distributions from your IRA, consult with your IRA administrator or your tax advisor to ensure making a QCD/RMD from your IRA is right for you.
